“Mobile Friendly” is the phrase that you now see in the result pages of Google searches done on your smartphone. Due to the rise and dominance of mobile first options when people are searching online, starting April 21st Google will favor mobile sites by given them ranking priority in the search results. This means that if your site is now displaying for a search query on mobile and it is not mobile ready, it is likely that you will lose placement once the change happens. Imagine going from page 1 to 1,000.
